YEL TEAM

YEL PLAYER REGISTRATIONS

To play in a YEL Fixture ALL players must be registered to meet FA and League requirements and this ensures all players are the correct age and registered members of the Club and fully covered by insurance.

All players MUST be aged 6 before they can be registered, but once a player is 6 during the season they can join the under 7 teams or continue in the under 6 training age group.

Instructions on how to Register players can be found on the Leagues website www.yelonline.com also recommend speak to your club Secretary

PLAYER RULES

These rules are supported by 90% of the YEL clubs at a vote at the recent League AGM

Under 7 players must be 6 and can play Saturday and Sunday in the YEL but only if its for the same Club

The under 7 player signs for the Club on a Saturday and can then play for ANY of the teams within that Club each week, example if you have 3 teams the players can move around the teams, this is to make sure you have enough players per team and also to give variety to the players and different standards when required and a chance to experiment in Friendly matches

If a player plays for the Club on a Saturday and Sunday they do need to register separately for both days

The Player Registration Team Sheet should be printed off at the start of the season and shown to the opposition before each match, Clubs can be fined for not following this rule..the aim is to ensure all players are registered and therefore assumed to be the correct age....you can register a player on the system the day before a match

YEL DIVISIONS

We have approaching 50 Saturday teams and nearly 30 Sunday Teams so with such good numbers we can hopefully ensure the advanced teams do not meet the brand new teams for a one sided game that spoils it for everyone.

IF YOU HAVE A STRONG TEAM PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH TEAM NAME AND DAY THEY PLAY - IF WE GET AT LEAST 6 PER DAY THEN WE CAN ARRANGE FOR THESE TEAMS TO PLAY EACH OTHER IN SEPT WHILST SORTING OUT THE REST

Our policy is to monitor scores every couple of weeks and move teams if they are too strong or too weak

NEW TEAMS

The YEL accept new under 7 teams at various times during the season and we only charge one Club fee of £30....note we do charge a £50 withdrawal fee should teams fold so make sure you have enough players. We will be setting the U7 Fixtures for September shortly so if you wish to enter extra teams in time for the start of the season please do so now with an email to yel@live.co.uk

FIXTURES

We aim to give every team a fixture every Saturday (or Sunday teams) and we try to place 50% of theses games at home. If you want to play every fortnight we need to know asap by email return...you can cancel matches without any penalty provided 7 days notice is given and we can then try and find an alternative for affected opposition

We arrange Fixtures every weekend at U7 and also offer optional Festival days, sometimes open to all and sometimes just certain standards of teams...all festivals before xmas are non competitive. At the end of the season we may offer a more competitive festival with winners

PITCH SHARING

If a club have U7 and U8 teams on the same day we will try and place the U7 at home one week and the U8 at home the next week, if you have 2 teams same age we will assume you want to be at Home TOGETHER...if more than 2 teams we may split the teams as we assume you may have pitch sharing issues.....Kick off times can be anything from 9.30am to 12pm but ask you make sure info is up to date on the league website.

LEAGUE ADMIN WEBSITE

The Fixtures will be shown on the League Fixture website, with the link below. The Divisions and Fixtures will be added after next weeks meeting

It is compulsory that every TEAM is registered to receive updates on fixtures from the website, so if you are managing more than one team we need you to accept the email instructions to register for each team, so that when we change fixtures or kick off times you will receive an automatic email. Our aim is that every fixture on the site has the correct venue and kick off time. Please look out for emails from FA Full Time and always follow instructions and accept.

SEPTEMBER FIXTURES

During September the aim is to avoid one sided 40 minute games, so at U7 we have the following 3 plans in place -

1) As above all strong teams make me aware and we can try and give you decent competitive Sept matches

2) YEL U7 Festival for up to 40 teams takes place at Cotgrave in September - this gives me a chance to grade teams - see next email details

3) September Fixtures are arranged for one home team to host 2 away teams with each team playing 2 x 20 minutes - so if the teams are not matched more chance of at least one close game

More will be explained at the meeting on Wednesday 2nd August.

YEL FACEBOOK

Another good way for Managers (and parents) to keep up to date with the YEL is to join the League official Facebook page which is

YEL Football League Nottingham & East Mids

Hopefully see you on Wednesday 2nd August.
