You've received an email from the YEL via FULL-TIME. What do you do?

Once you have been allocated a game - usually on the weekend prior to the match - you will receive an email similar to the one pictured. It will state the date and time of the game, the age group of the two teams and the location of the ground. A similar email is sent to both managers which also includes your contact details.

You need to do nothing for the time being unless you are not available. If you can't make the game YOU MUST contact YEL Referees Appointments immediately - yel@live.co.uk - to advise that you are not able to referee. This will save a lot of time, wasted emails and frustration for everyone.

It is now the home team manager's responsibility to confirm the appointment with you. He/she will either ring you, email you or text you. They should confirm the game, kick off time and ground location. Teams are required to make contact with you by Monday evening at the latest. If you have still heard nothing by Wednesday lunchtime, prior to the game, you must advise the YEL either using the 'contact' page above or by email yel@live.co.uk

Some appointments are made as a result of you responding to the LATE AVAILABILITY emails which are sent out on Monday night and again on Tuesday night. Managers should respond within 24hrs to these late appointments. If no contact is made DO NOT LEAVE IT ANY LATER THAN THURSDAY to advise YEL Referees Appointments that you have not heard.
