This guide is to give Managers a Quick helpful guide to some of the Leagues rules & regulations.

 

Under 7 to Under 10 players are only permitted to play for one Club in the YEL Saturday or Sunday. (Club vote held Aug 2008, large majority) Players can play both days but only for one club

 

All age groups are 2 year age banding (from 1 Sept) example an u11 players CAN play in the under 12s but if the majority of the team younger League permission required. ALL players must be 6 years of age to play in any organized match.

 

 

Players can only play for one team in a competition, Transfers are possible, instructions elsewhere on the website, cost of £5

In YEL Cup u11 to u14 players can play for a Saturday & Sunday team.

Notts FA Shield now has Saturday & Sunday separate competition at u13 and u14 so players can only play for one team each day

 

All players must be fully verified on Gotfootball and showing on the Photo Team Sheet Roster

Failure to check Photo Team sheets FINE of £20 and the match may be declared void.

 

NO CARD = NO PLAY – NO EXCEPTIONS

 

Teams are expected to provide changing facilities (if requested) and also have the pitch fully prepared (marked out/nets up) 30 minutes before the scheduled kick off time.

 

All Team managers/Secretaries are responsible for the behaviour of their spectators at all times; this includes before and after the match.

 

Managers / Spectators must not encroach onto the field of play; guilty teams will be reported to the FA.

Spectators are not permitted to stand directly behind the goal (adjacent to the goal area).

Kick Off times Explained

 

Under 7 & under 8 Sat & Sun

The League have arranged a default time of 10am but any morning time as allowed provided opposition given 10 days notice.

 

Saturday Mini Soccer (u9 & u10)

1030am to 1130am Home Team to decide, to play at any other time this must have agreement of Away team & League giving 10 days notice.

 

Saturday 11 a side (u11 to u14)

Official Kick Off times are 3pm Sept/Oct/Mar/Apr & 215pm Nov to Feb

Matches can be played at times from 1030am onwards, however, If one team insists the standard kick off time MUST be used (league hope teams will support each other with pitch sharing issues).

Kick Off time issues must be resolved at least 10 days before the fixture.

 

Sunday All Ages (u9 to u14)

Between 10:30 am and 2.30 pm.

The home team shall specify the kick off time and give the away team & League at least 10 days notice of kick off times after 12pm.

 

Midweek Fixtures – 630pm unless otherwise mutually agreed by both teams.

 

The Fixtures on the YEL Website have been set at default times, these need to be changed by notifying the League.

 

ALL teams are requested to inform YEL by email yel@live.co.uk with the accurate kick off times & venues so they can be displayed on the website for everyone benefit and up to BOTH teams to discuss any issues.

This time is for guidance and is subject to the rules above being followed.

 

A minimum of 10 days notice will be given by Committee for fixture changes (unless exceptional weather then its 6 days notice)

 

Clubs, on elimination from cup competitions, will have fixtures brought forward by the Management Committee wherever possible.

 

u7s & u8s (20 mins each way or 4 x 10mins)……Size 3 Ball

u9 & u10 25 mins each way) …..Size 3 Ball u9s and Size 4 at u10s

u11 & u12 (30 mins each way)….Size 4 Ball

u13 & u14 (35 mins each way)….Size 4 Ball

 

The Secretary/Manager of the home Club must give notice in writing/email or phone of full particulars of the location of, and access to, the ground and time of kick-off to the match officials and the Manager of the opposing Club by 8pm on Monday prior to the playing of the match.

Failure will result in £10 fine (remember kick off time notice rules)

 

A match may be postponed due to adverse weather. The home manager must inform A) the away manager B) League appointed referee and C) yel@live.co.uk if postponed before Friday. Failure to do this will result in a fine of £10. All other postponements must follow the procedure outlined in Managers Guide.

 

If the Home pitch is NOT playable but the AWAY team can provide a pitch at the same KO time (within one hour) then the Home team would be expected to agree to switch the fixture venue. Any failure to switch at the away teams request would be investigated by YEL with possible points deduction/match awarded if found guilty.

 

Any match postponed on the day due to weather use Full time Text ..Result P-P

 

A max of 5 Rolling substitutes allowed at 11 a side & 7 subs at Mini soccer

The referee shall be informed of the names of the substitutes not later than 15 minutes before the start of the match (use a Match Report form)

The half time interval shall be of five minutes duration

 

Match Report Fines could be issued for late receipt or incomplete online match report information & missing Referee names and incomplete marks.

 

Referee marks out of 100 on the website and a mark of less than 60 teams must email explanation to yel@live.co.uk

 

All teams now using the FA Full time Results Text service

Simply reply with – result 2-1

The home team must provide the correct result, scorers not required.

Failure to comply will result in a fine of £10 per offence (one warning given).

 

If the League appoints an official Referee to a match, this referee MUST be accepted without exception, provided at least five days notice has been given by the YEL Office.

 

Referees Fees are fixed with no additional travelling expenses

 

£25 for 11 a side

£20 for 9 a side

£15 Mini Soccer

 

If a 3 team Mini soccer competitive format the Referee fee will be £21 including travel which is made up of a contribution of £7 from each of the teams.

 

If, for any reason, other than injury, a match has two referees officiating, the game will be declared null and void.

 

It is the responsibility of the home team to contact an appointed match referee by 8pm Monday. Failure to do so may result in a £10 fine.

 

No Team Manager to be allowed to referee his own teams matches on a regular basis. The Referees Secretary has the authority to stop Team Managers/Club Refs from officiating his/her own matches. That’s why it’s important you give honest marks.

 

PLEASE NOTE: WHEN MARKING AN OFFICIALLY APPOINTED YEL REFEREE ON THE MATCH REPORT SHEETS,THESE MARKS ARE OUT OF 100.

 

Notts FA Shield matches are controlled by the Notts FA NOT the YEL, email Shield results to Notts FA, we will also set them up on our full time system so results can be texted to YEL so we can keep fixtures up to date.

 

Referees must be over 18 (unless qualified) and Assistant referees over 16 (unless qualified).

 

 

CLUB REFEREES

 

In cases where the YEL has been unable to appoint a Referee, the

Clubs shall agree upon a Referee. A Referee thus agreed upon shall, for

that game, have the full powers, status and authority of a registered Referee.

Normal practice for Home team to supply but the official rule is clear, the

HOME team should make any payment to the Club referee.

 

Except in cases where the Management Committee decide that there are special circumstances, protests and complaints (which must contain full particulars of the grounds upon which they are founded) must be lodged with YEL Office within two days (excluding Sundays) of the match or occurrence to which they refer.

EMAIL Recommended.

No protest of whatever kind shall be considered by the Management Committee unless the complaining Club shall have deposited with the League a sum of £20.

 

A protest would be a challenge to the match result; a complaint would not be a challenge to the result and does not require a deposit payment.

 

Objections relevant to the dimensions of the pitch, goals, flag posts or other facilities of the venue will not be entertained by the Management Committee unless a protest is lodged with the Referee before the commencement of the match.

 

How to appeal a League decision - Within 14 days of the posting of written notification of any decision of the Management Committee against whom action is taken may appeal against such decision by lodging particulars in duplicate with the Secretary of the Nottinghamshire Football Association, including a fee of £25, for adjudication of a Board of Appeal.

 

GOAL DIFFERENCE DOES NOT APPLY IN YEL MATCHES

 

Not Happy with a Rule !!! YOU can apply to change them !!

Full copy on website take a read !! Notice of proposed alterations to be considered at the Annual General Meeting shall be submitted to the YEL Secretary by 31 December in each year.

The Standard code of rules cannot be changed but regulations can be changed (subject to Notts FA approval & club vote)
